A black and white weaving project inspired by scarred tissue. Scars as a sign of passed time, of movement and life, as a break, as a remainder of old injuries, a piece of history, a culturally identifying feature, sign of strength, of bravery, a left-over of something severed and not perfectly healed, a reminder, the cause of unthoughtfulness, bad luck, clumsiness, natural spectacle, jewellery.
The Scar has many faces and is yet always a sign or trace of perishability and life.
